Job Description

  • Lead development of the China marketing strategy and act as advisor to the business unit leaders, directly supporting corporate growth objectives and business unit commercial plans.
  • Translate global strategies into locally relevant plans, ensuring cultural, market, and ecosystem fit.
  • Direct situation analysis across target markets: market sizing, segmentation, growth rates, customer strategies, competitor strategies.
  • dentify macroeconomic, regulatory, and technological shifts impacting NTI’s China business.
  • Build a portfolio of growth opportunities by aligning market trends with NTI’s technology and solution capabilities.
  • Translate insights into strategic recommendations that guide BU priorities and investment decisions.
  • Drive thought leadership and influence across target industries, elevating NTI’s reputation as an innovation leader in nanotechnology among customers, partners, and industry associations.
  • Develop external communications, PR campaigns, and stakeholder engagement strategies that reinforce NTI’s leadership in deep tech.
  • Strengthen NTI’s relationships with industry bodies, research institutions, and government stakeholders to expand influence and create business opportunities.
  • Oversee account-based marketing strategies to expand wallet share with existing accounts and acquire new strategic customers.
  • Define multi-channel marketing approaches (digital, events, PR, partnerships) with measurable commercial outcomes, without being confined to tactical execution.
  • Ensure marketing platforms and tools (HubSpot, Dynamics 365, Apollo.io, WeChat, Baidu) are leveraged effectively as enablers for strategy and ROI tracking, not just operations.
  • Lead, inspire, and grow a multidisciplinary China marketing team, fostering collaboration, innovation, and strategic thinking.
  • Implement the 70/30 model: centralized corporate priorities (70%) balanced with BU-specific marketing support (30%).
  • Promote cross-border collaboration by enabling direct connectivity between China team members and corporate marketing members in Singapore.
  • Own the China marketing budget and cost center, ensuring resources are invested strategically with clear ROI.
  • Define and track KPIs that link marketing activities directly to pipeline growth, customer engagement, and brand visibility.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to Corporate Marketing, demonstrating strategic contribution to growth.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of senior marketing experience in China, preferably in advanced manufacturing, deep tech, or precision engineering.
  • Proven strategic leadership capability in developing market-entry, positioning, and account-based strategies.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect market insights to business growth initiatives.
  • Fluency in both Mandarin and English; confident in engaging senior stakeholders across China and Corporate.
  • Experience managing multifunctional teams, budgets, and complex projects across business units.
  • Familiarity with global marketing platforms (HubSpot, Dynamics 365) and China-specific digital ecosystems (WeChat, Baidu).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter with proven ability to establish new processes and frameworks in an unstructured environment.
  • Track record in mentoring, developing, and building teams, especially guiding less experienced members into high-performing professionals.
